Understanding Each Regime

MEI (5%): Fixed contribution of 5% of the minimum wage. Benefit limited to 1 minimum wage. Cheapest but lowest benefit.
Autônomo (11%): Self-Employed (11%): 11% of the minimum wage contribution. Also limited to 1 minimum wage. Allows retirement by age.
Autônomo (20%): Self-Employed (20%): 20% contribution on the taxable base (60% of gross revenue). Benefit proportional to contributed amount, up to the INSS ceiling. Higher cost, higher benefit.
Sem contribuição: No contribution: No monthly expense, but no right to INSS retirement. You'll depend exclusively on your own savings.
